Back in May, my girlfriend, Amber, came to visit me and together we went on a photography spree over at the Edsil Ford Mansion in the Detroit area. Within the walls of the beautiful gardens, I was mezmerized by these beautiful, tiny, blue flowers. They were so cute and tiny!!! I had no idea what they were called but I couldn't resist taking some shots. Or a hundred. The photo below is my favorite from that day.
Then...as most of you know...last night I found out what my little tiny friends were called - "Forget-me-Nots." {meaning: true love, hope, rememberance, memories} My face was beaming as President Uchdorf spoke to us about my little friends and what each of the five petals can stand to remind us of things never to forget.
As with everyone else, this talk has resonated with me in ways that are unspeakable, only felt. One must actually view the video rather than read the talk - it's just way too important to see with the eyes - but until the video is available, here is the written talk. What a blessing to hear these words - I needed this.
SO...this is my own personal photo, my own personal creation - feel free to use it (or not) however you'd like.
Happy Sunday to all!

Thank you Abby! This is a beautiful reminder of that amazing talk. I just set it as my desktop background so that I can remember each morning as I turn on my computer.
Thanks for the sweet gift, Abby. I've been scouring images for a good forget-me-not photo...yours is gorgeous. I agree. The talk was just what I needed to hear.
A wonderful talk indeed. Thanks for sharing.
You can watch the RS conference on conference.lds.org Enjoy
I actually have a small sample of these seeds that I forgot to plant last year. My granddaughter and I just came across them again. Looks like a teachable lesson coming up. Thanks for the idea.
I loved it and I'm totally listening to it again and again... the video IS available:

The video is available on You Tube. I watched it today. It was so incredible to watch Pres. Uchtdorf give this talk yesterday, and so great to be in the conference center. I'm super excited for General Conference next weekend!
Now I want to plant Forget Me Not's all over my yard :)
Thank you for the beautiful picture, I'm going to use it in my post today. I loved that talk to, perect start to conference!
It was an amazing talk. I had the opportunity to participate in the choir that sang at the conference- what a remarkable experience. I had to try hard not to sob as he spoke that message meant just for me (and a few million of my closest sisters). Thank you for sharing your own talents and giving us something visual to remind us. (I teased on the way home that I'm sure there's going to be a run on forget-me-nots at all the local Utah nurserys) :)
xoxo,
Amy
Thank you for the image. It's going to be my desktop background for a little while. Really appreciate the reminder.

Abby, Thanks so much for the beautiful picture. I sent it to Costco and had one printed for everyone in RS.I used this talk for my lesson today and it made the perfect handout. Several people commented on how beautiful the picture was. Thanks again!!
Abby--thanks for the beautiful picture. I used it as my handout for the lesson I taught in R.S. using Elder Uchtdorf's talk. Everyone loved it and asked for extras to give to people who weren't there. Thanks to you and Costco it was a cinch. I appreciate you allowing us to use it.
Thank you so much Abby ... you are very kind and generous for sharing this beautiful picture with us, and for allowing us to use it. I just printed off two copies to take to my vt sisters, along with the msg for this month.
