New Onesies & Booties

I couldn't resist sharing my latest creations. We've got a new baby boy in the family so I put together these little sets for him. I LOVE how it all turned out! I especially love that my fleece rectangle is so imperfect looking - as strange as that sounds. I think that's what gives this little shirt some character. (Good...because I'm NOT perfect at anything!!! My stuff just has "character".)
These are SO simple to make - and the end result is something beautiful and hand made. Here are the instructions again:

I do love the onesies and booties! I checked out the tutorial for the onesies...my only question is: how do you machine stitch them? I just didn't think it was possible to get them in the machine. I've made a couple of appliqued onsies, but handstitched them, which has it's own appeal, but I'd rather machine stitch them to make sure they stay on through washes. Yours are super cute!

To answer your question you asked long ago...I am from Mesa. Our little apron club meets once a week. Sometimes we sew, sometimes we don't. But we all love aprons and crafty things! I really enjoy looking at your website and am looking forward to a ribbon bow tutorial (you know, to match the ribbon embellished onesies). :) Have a great day!

To stitch the onesies, I usually take off the detachable part of the arm - leaving a smaller arm to stitch with. Then I'll stick the onesie on through the neck and start at a corner. You kind of have to work it a little when you flip and go the opposite direction, but as long as the ribbon piece stays straight, you should have no problems. Also, using that 1/2" or 1" fusible webbing is key. It holds everything in place.

Thanks for posting! Good luck!

Link isn't working for Booty tutorial :(.

For some reason, the baby bootie link isn't working - I'll go try and figure that out. They are the Heather Bailey baby booties, so if she has disabled her link, there's nothing I can do. I'll go see....
