Have You Tried...

To some of you, this is old news, but it occurred to me today that there MIGHT be some of you out there who haven't tried Pandora radio online. IT'S FREE and you create your own "stations" with your favorite types of music. The beauty of it is that it plays AWESOME music without any commercials or stopping! Just mark the boxes as to whether you like or dislike a song or not, and Pandora customizes your mix! They have EVERYTHING you could imagine! And if you like a song, you can click on the drop-down menu and purchase it through iTunes or whatever method you use. I've found some COOL music that I probably wouldn't have ever heard of otherwise.

Music Junky

(Chanda, this is in honor of you!!!)

I'm ALWAYS on the lookout for some good tunes and I realize that not everybody likes the same music, but here are some of my FAVORITES that keep me going through my Holiday projects...

(you can only listen to SO much Christmas music.)

Blake Lewis - Audio Daydream
I'm not embarrased to say that I watched Blake through his American Idol stint and I've always liked his style. I like just about everything on this new album.

OneRepublic is fast becoming one of my favorites. If you like the Fray, you'll like these guys. Dude plays his own piano, too! "Stop and Stare" is on my repeat button.

Dashboard Confessional -"Stolen" - go get it.

Does anyone out there have some good suggestions? I'm always up for some new stuff.

Music To Your Ears

Since I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year, I've done nothing but prepare for that so I apologize for the lack of creativity lately. HOWEVER! I treated myself to the new Emmy Rossum album on iTunes and I've been working my heart out to her beautiful, soothing music.
I first saw Emmy Rossum in the most recent Phantom of the Opera movie and I LOVED her performance and vocals. I was glad to stumble on this album and I wasn't sure of it at first but it grew on me real quick! It's slow, kind of like Enya, but very different and equally beautiful. In an interview about the album, Emmy explains that her album is not layered with hundreds of other voices - all of the vocals you hear are her own voice, layered to harmonize with herself. It's REALLY cool.
So off I go - HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING!
