More Valentine Stuff

Have I mentioned before that I LOVE Valentine's Day?! (mostly for the pretty colors and the distraction from winter-induced depression.) I can't resist these good ideas - enjoy!

Kissed Pretzels - on U Create, who got it from No Fuss Fabulous. FABULOUS! My worries are over because I'm totally making these babies for my kids' V-day parties this week!!! I've honestly been agonizing so I'm very, very happy I found this. HOWEVER...the instructions say to preheat your oven to 400 degrees - DON'T DO THAT! Preheat to 200 degrees and they'll turn out perfect.

Strawberry Bouquet - from Family Fun. I don't know if I'll have the time this week, but I TOTALLY want to make some of these for my kids' teachers! How fun and easy! This website also has a bunch of other great V-Day ideas and printable color pages.

Crayon hearts - from Martha Stewart. I saw these last year on this site and wanted to do some but I totally forgot! I love the colors they used, too.

ADORABLE (and so easy) heart scarf. I'm TOTALLY doing one of these this week even if it kills me. I found the idea from Betz White (love her) but if you need a tutorial, it's on the Martha Stewart site. (You know you've made it when Martha wants you on her show...) I probably won't do the whole felting thing, but store-bought felt or soft, fuzzy fleece and embellishments would be fun.

Little Birdie Secrets had this cute wreath tutorial on her site and this looks like SO much fun. My little girl would love to make one with me. If only I were an organized mother!

I used the concept of the wreath in a ball form for my daughters' birthday party. It was so pretty and she still hangs it on every door knob in the house!

The pretzels are really yummy made with Rolos too. We like to make them at Christmas and top them with red and green sprinkles. They don't last long.

So fun! I LOVE Valentine's day too. Did you know you can make those pretzel treats with Rolo's too instead of the candy kiss? They are so yummy. When I make those I squish 'em down with a pecan but the colored M&M's are super cute.

Good luck with the popcorn if you give it a try. Gosh I wish we were back in the same town together! You're just fabulous.

I just have to say that I love your blog and love the ideas that you share with all of us. I couldn't find the info about the hear-shaped wreath on Little Birdie Secrets. Could you give me a little more info, I'd love to make it!
Thanks!

i've made the pretzels with the kisses before for Christmas and the kids and i decided we would make them for every holiday that came with colorful M&M's but you all are killing me with the idea of a rolo, one of my favorites....i may have to make them right away, after a quick run to the store for a couple of supplies!
Thanks for all the ideas, i check your blog often for something fresh!

I love your ideas, but I also tried to get to the wreath tutorial, and I couldn't find it. Do you have another link? Thanks! Happy heart day!

Abby, I did the rose strawberries from family fun two years ago. They turned out adorable and were really not that hard. You should try them.

okay, I made the pretzels but the first cookie sheet full (about 80 of them) was nasty. The tutorial says to set them in a 400 degree oven for about 5 minutes to melt. I did this and yuck! the second try I put them in for 45 seconds at 375 degrees and they were perfect.

We made TONS for my daughters class. We used the plain chocolate and cookies and cream kisses. Also, I used the Snyders square pretzels. Thanks for the great idea....

HAHA! I made some tonight, too - and I followed the directions on the site and completely ruined my first batch, also! I eventually found some other directions that said to heat them at 200 degrees - and so that's what we did for round two. How funny!

I will have to try the pretzels with the kisses. I make mine with rolos (http://stolenbonbon.blogspot.com/2008/10/turtles.html) and they are all gone within minutes

Try these cute pretzel things with caramel kisses... so yummy. Just make sure that you line you cookie sheet with wax paper.

I also use the Snyder's brand square pretzels.

When you cook them cook them for about 2-3 minutes on 175 degrees... sometimes a little more... Perfect!
