I know, I know - I can hear it now..."Why have a blog when you're NEVER posting?!" I feel your frustration. I'm irritated at myself, too. However, I can assure you that there have been many distractions in my world. First of all, I LOVE MY BEAUTIFUL BABIES - but what in the heck am I supposed to do with them for another 5 weeks?! We've done all there is to do in one summer - can't they start school in August like normal people? (oh yeeeaaaah...because we live in the ARCTIC.)
We finger paint, we play outside, we ride bikes, we splash in water, we've gone swimming, we go to the library, we read, we color, we play games...now what? I need a farm, that's what. I need them to be so tired from working all day that they don't need me to entertain them. Problem solved.
In the meantime, we've painted our foyer "New Brick" and I absolutely LOVE it!
And while we were at it, I decided that the guest bathroom needed to be not white anymore, so it's now "Brown Eyes" and I LOVE that, too!
Notice I've got that kid in every photo - I can't even use the bathroom without him following me! (but he's pretty rad, so I'll keep him.)
AND...I finished part of my living room curtains! I still have the valance to finish - it's going to drop down just to where the window starts, attached by those rings, as well. Very exciting.
AND!!! My fabric co-op order came in and I couldn't be more excited! The Amy Karol book and two Amy Butler patterns - AWESOME. (your name needs to be Amy in order for people to take you seriously...)
So that's all, folks. No more excitement here. We're off to Wal Mart to get more Nerf darts so we can have a dart gun war. Hey - I'm running out of options here.

I love how bold you are with color!
I'm LOVING the "Red Brick" - I'm a sucka for a good red.
I also love that I'm not the only person that still says rad. ;)
I love the colors you used! It looks great! What is your fabric co-op? That sounds interesting!
Love the paint colors! We're about to paint our kitchen again--third time in 3 years. Hopefully this time it'll stick.
And I hear you on the long summer--my kids don't go back until September 2. Hang in there!
I love the new colors. My kids go back to school in two weeks and it seems to be taking FOREVER.
I LOVE the colors you painted.
I feel your pain about the LONG summer! Why can't our kids get jobs or something :)
Fab color choices. Feels like a new place, huh?
This look so nice. The brick paint is lovely.
Great pain t colors looks like some of the same colors I have in my house.
I had to giggle about you referring to living in the Arctic. Because I really live in the Arctic and I am happy to say we start school in 2 weeks. Its a good thing Cruz summer is over.We did not have one day pass 65 and I think that was in may . It's mostly been in the low 50's all summer long
Your colors look great Abby! Nice choices.
I know what you mean about entertaining those kids nonstop. A farm is a very good idea.
Good luck.
ABBY! I love it! I absolutely love the entry way. The brown in the bathroom is super sweet, too! And your curtains! Yippeeeee! I'm totally sending you a huge high five---NICE job. And how on earth did you paint the top of the entryway walls with your little buddy on your heels?
I have a farm. They don't like to be outside, but neither do I! Of course, we started school last week and I have kids that can drive themselves, so it is a wee bit easier at my house.
I want to know about the fabric co-op also!!!!
HAHAHA!!! Cynthia - that's hilarious that you have a farm and it's still not enough! However, teaching my 9-year-old to drive WOULD make life a little easier. Thanks for the inspiration.
