I've been hunting all over for some good instructions to make these AWESOME reversible headbands! I found some really cute ones on the Etsy store Busy B Designs and decided I wanted to make my own.
This cute girl, Suzanne, at Foofanagle did all of the work for us and even gave us a template to print out and use as a pattern! Thanks, Foofanagle. You're the best! You're the foofiest foofer!
I decided that I'm going to make a matching headband to go with my apron for the swap - every girl needs her own matching headband while she bakes up something scrumptious! Don't you think? I mean, who wants that hair in their cookie?
This headband really was easy to make - but Suzanne warned that turning it right-side-out would be difficult and it was. That one step took the longest, otherwise it's a snap!

Ooh! I wanna make a headband that matches MY swap apron :o) Send me the instructions/template, pretty please?
If you click on the links I added in this entry, they'll take you to the instructions/template.
Darling, love them. I am sitting down tomorrow and making up a batch. What a great way to use up all my scraps of fabric.
I make a similar design and have a tip for turning it inside out. Sew the elastic in on one end. So the elastic (that i attach a safety pin if I think about it first to make it even easier) will be between the two right sides. Then use the safety pin to scoot the elastic up towards the opening and pull it though to make turning it inside out a little easier.
COOL! Thanks Kirsten for the great idea! I'll have to try that! I'd probably make more of these headbands if there was an easier way of turning them!
I'm so happy I've found your site! thanks for doing so much work so that the rest of us can do wonderful projects!
