Pretty.

Even though they're weeds, I love these flowers.  They grow all over the place here - on the sides of the roads, in huge fields, in my sand-box-turned weed-pit.  The blossoms are called "Queen Anne's Lace" and that's exactly what they look like.  Queen Anne.  Oh, I mean lace.  Very delicate and pretty.

They especially look pretty in a jar! {gasp!}

  1. We like to dye the water to get colored ones. The queen anne's lace seems to soak up dye very well.

  2. Did you know that Queen Anne's lace is a member of the carrot family? If I remember correctly from my younger days that is, lol. Anyhow it makes a beautiful arrangement I agree. Try placing it in a book - wait till it dries and be amazed! It really is quite a pretty flower.
