A Sister for my Daughter

Goodness! It's been a while, I know, but it's all I can do to keep my head above water here in this busy household lately.

HOWEVER...I had to share my daughter's good news. We're having a little girl - Kendra's wildest dreams are coming true! Nevermind that they'll be 8 years apart - she has this great, ideallistic vision of the two of them happily playing in her room. Kinda cute.

Anyway - I can't wait to share some of the projects going on around here - but in order for me to do that without passing out from exhaustion, I have to wait for some spare time to open up soon. So stay tuned!!!

'Till then, I leave you with warm thoughts:

"Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling."
--Author unknown....or too embarrassed to share their name...

  1. Awwwww that's so sweet.
When I was 8 years old my sister was born, I was so proud and happy to have a baby sister.
Now I'm 39 and she's 31 and I'm still proud to have her for a sister.
    Congrats to Kendra ..... :-)

Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear that your big girl will have the baby sister that she's been asking for. My DD is longing for the same. (Fingers crossed we can give her that one day as well.)

  18. Congratulations for your daughter and your whole family. I come from a family of five and my sisters and I are 7 and 8 years apart. I was sooooo happy to have them after having two brothers. I know how your daughter feels. She will LOVE having a little sister. I am so close with mine, despite the age difference.

  19. Congratulations! So exciting for your daughter. Between my sister and i are 3 brothers and thirteen and a half years. At age 13 i was so excited to finally have a sister. We have never ever fought, though when i was 15 and she was 2 i did get a little irritated with her always in my things, but at 17 and 18 I loved having her come along with me on outings. she has always been one of the dearest people in my life and at age 34 and almost 21 I call my sister my dearest friend.
    Congrats again!
