Food from Heaven

Okay, so I don't have a picture {so lame, I know} but I made this Chicken Tetrazzini tonight {by my girl Giada} and OH...MY...HEAVENLY ITALIAN FOOD....this was exactly what I was craving and I couldn't believe how good it was!! I'm pretty sure I passed out because I can't remember all of dinner time. It's a creamy chicken and pasta dish with all kinds of flavor and even a bunch of veggies - you HAVE to try it. For me, it blows the boring Alfredo stuff out of the way. AGAIN...my kids ate it because I chopped up the mushrooms and they had no idea they were there! {how sneaky, aren't I?!}

Um...so is it wrong to be SO mad at Giada for being able to eat all of this Italian food and still be so freaking tiny? She's had a baby already and is still tiny. What the #$%@? That's just not right...

  1. Just loved your comment about "passing out" at dinner! I'm going to have to save that one to share with my friends at our next dinner gathering. A couple of weeks ago I was reading an interview with Giada. Apparently her secret to staying thin is she only eats a few bites! This recipe looks too yummy for just a few bites. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Looks so delicious! I know what you mean about Giada! My oldest sister has SIX kids and is Giada's size - holy gene's Batman - why didn't I get them??

  3. I LOVE Chicken Tetrazzini! I make Martha's recipe from Everyday Food. It makes two 8x8 casserole dishes worth, so when I make it I have one to serve right away and one to freeze.

  4. haha! Julie - I heard the same thing about Giada eating only a few bites....but SERIOUSLY? I've been around Italians at dinnertime and eating a few bites just doesn't fly with them! EAT, EAT, they yell at you! They'll spoon-feed you if they have to! Giada probably starves herself just before a big family gathering because there's NO way she can get away with her nibbling!

    {I would make a great Italian...}

  6. Hey Abby! I am one of your blog followers and the "food from heaven" entry was right on target. Printed the recipe and cooked it for my little family last night. Everyone wanted seconds, even my now picky 2 year old! Thanks for sharing. ; ) Rachel
