I must, must, MUST, {must} make some of these little birdies! I found the birds on this site here {love her} and she had a link to this site here but the pattern isn't showing up!!!! OH NOOOOO! And then THIS?! Why does the Pottery Barn have to always one-up me in the most major way??? Okay - so picture this - my bedroom has a big, blank wall to the left of my bed and I was going to enlist Kadie to help me do a cool tree sihlouette with branches and leaves and little birdies sitting on the branches on the one wall, extending through the corner and over to my side of the bed - and the paint color would be just a couple of shades darker than the brownish color already on the wall. OKAY...do you have that image?
They used my idea and it's gorgeous. Well, at least I can say that I'm right there with those big thinkers. I'm just unambitious and slow. Bad combo.
And could that archway idea be any more AMAZING? I'm totally going to do that someday - as soon as I get my contractor's license.

ReplyDeleteI have that pattern saved to my computer somewhere. I made a bird a couple months back and it turned out super cute. I added looped ribbons on the tail -for feathers and sewed on button eyes. Now, I just need to make another 4 or so for my daughter's room. If you haven't found the pattern yet, let me know and I'll try to email it to you.

ReplyDeleteI've made several of these for give aways in swaps and for the Toy Society toy drops. I can say that even without the super nice fabric, they are simply lovely and so easy to make! Once you get the pattern, you will be hooked! I can't WAIT to see your mobile. I want to make one but don't have a reason.....*sigh*

Ryan was my age - Tad was a little older than me but my friend was dating his friend and we all went on a date once and I got my car stuck in the desert.
