Grocery List

Here's a fun grocery list I use that I wanted to share with all of you. I've been terrible at keeping ingredients on hand lately because I haven't been making a menu of any kind. I'm so lazy and even though it's a pain, I have discovered that planning a teensy bit ahead helps me stay calmer throughout the week because I'm not FREAKING OUT when there's nothing in the fridge to throw together for dinner. Even if you don't keep the assigned meals on the assigned days, at least you'll have all of your ingredients for that week.

I'm clueless when it comes to internet documents - but I think that if you click on this picture, it'll take you to Photobucket and you can hit the "download" tab. When you print it out, make sure you choose the "landscape" (wide) option. I've inquired with a computer genius on how to do this the right way - so maybe I'll have a better download later.

  2. This will be so great to use. Now that I have a little baby to babysit, I can't go shopping all the time like I used to.

  19. Your site looks great and I'm anxious to be able to sit and have time to look at all the different things you have on your page. What brought me to your site was the menu/grocery list that I was lead to from another site. One comment on the negative side that I hope you will change. On the page where you have the menu/grocery list, you mention the word "retarded" when referring to yourself and internet documents. Although I have been blessed with two healthy children, your choice of that word would be offensive to some. Being a woman of faith, I would sincerely hope that you would change your wording, as those families God blessed with special needs children are the most truely amazing people in the world. Those of us blessed with "normal" children struggle on a daily basis with caring for our children. Those with special needs children deserve our respect of refraining from using that word as they struggle tenfold dealing with their special needs children. Thanks for letting me voice me opinion.

  20. Thanks, Julie - sorry for the offense. I have changed my post. I appreciate your honesty!

  21. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Now I remember why I didn't post here earlier....for that very reason - the 'R' word!

Abby, let me explain - Julie nailed it.
I was a mom of a special needs daughter who is no longer with us. Even though I don't consider myself overly-sensitive, I have to admit, hearing that word makes my skin crawl.
I have taught my 2 other children that the 'R' word is inappropriate - no matter what!
In the younger generation it may be considered just another descriptive word, but for the rest of us - it's a poor choice. And no matter how 'cute' a blog is, if that word is used, I won't be reading any of it! So what brought me back to your site? The darling downloads I found once before on Tip Junkie.....Now,here I am again and want to say 'thanks' for listening to Julie (and me) and for thinking of the rest of us!

  24. Thanks so much for sharing this! I've been trying to find a good menu planner forever, but a lot of them don't give enough room for shopping lists, and way too much for each menu item (I only use it for dinners). This one looks perfect!
